Job Overview

Teghs Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines and producing precision parts according to engineering drawings and required tolerances.

This position is well suited for a machinist who has experience working in a custom manufacturing environment, can work independently, and takes responsibility for producing accurate, quality parts on schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and set up CNC milling machines, including loading materials and independently selecting, preparing, and loading the appropriate cutting tools based on the job requirements, drawings, and tooling information
- Operate CNC milling machines and inspect the first-off part, making necessary tool offsets and adjustments to achieve required dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and inspect finished parts to verify dimensions and specifications
- Use measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools as required
- Deburr and tap parts and ensure completed parts are properly prepared for post-processing.
- Identify and address issues such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, dimensional variations, or programming issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team member
- Safely load and unload raw materials and finished parts while following proper material-handling procedures
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, coolant maintenance, and tool replacement
- Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including production quantities, tool usage, and program or offset changes
- Monitor tool inventory and report when tools need to be replaced or reordered.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleaning of machines and workstations.
- Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicate progress, challenges,



and production concerns effectively with the team.
- Work independently and take responsibility for assigned jobs and production deadlines
- Use critical thinking and sound judgment to make decisions and resolve machining issues in a timely manner
- Contribute to a positive team environment and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

- College diploma in CNC Machining/Machining or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Experience operating and setting up CNC milling machines
- Experience machining precision parts with tight tolerances, including tolerances as close as 0.0005" where required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of GD&T;
- Good understanding of G & M codes
- Ability to identify and select common cutting tools, including end mills, drills, taps, and related tooling
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software
- Experience with Mastercam is an asset
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
- Experience working with a variety of custom and precision-machined parts is an asset

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
