This is a hybrid opportunity based in the Greater Toronto Area for a 4 or 8-month term.

What you'll do

- Assist with domestic and international M&A; transactions, including tax due diligence and structuring analyses.
- Support the review of financial projections and tax data for quantitative and qualitative transaction analyses.
- Assist in preparing tax memorandums, presentations, and client-ready deliverables.
- Review tax provisions in merger agreements and other legal documents.
- Conduct tax research related to Subchapter C, Subchapter K, and inbound and outbound international tax matters.
- Participate in client meetings, deal discussions, and internal training sessions.
- Collaborate with Associates, Senior Associates, Vice Presidents, Directors, Managing Directors and Partners on client engagements and special projects.
- Support the delivery of high-quality work products while developing technical M&A; tax knowledge.

What you bring

- Currently pursuing a JD (Juris Doctor), Master's, or undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in M&A;,



transactional tax, or advisory services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with robust research and analytical abilities.
- Comfort working with numbers and complex legal concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work product.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn in a rapid-paced professional services environment.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to take initiative.

Compensation

This is a temporary role offering $26.00 CAD hourly, commensurate with skills, experience, and alignment with the requirements of the role. Placement within this range will be determined based on experience relevant to this role and scope of responsibility.
