McGill Baby Lab - Speech and Language Development Research
Position Summary:
Do you love working with families and babies? The McGill Baby Lab is looking for a warm, organized, and creative Communications Assistant and Study Recruiter to help power our research into how infants learn to understand and produce speech and language. You'll be the friendly face that connects local families to our studies, and the organizational backbone that keeps the lab running smoothly day to day. Your primary responsibilities would include:
- Recruitment & outreach: Design and run creative campaigns — social media content, community outreach, and in-person events — to connect with parents and caregivers and invite their babies to take part in our studies.
- Lab coordination: Schedule testing sessions and follow-ups and coordinate a team of student research assistants.
- Administration & data: Maintain study documentation and protocols, and support day-to-day data management for the lab.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- Fluency in English and French
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a team
- A comfortable, engaging manner with parents and babies
- An asset: background in language acquisition or linguistics
- Salary can be commensurate with experience
