Westhaven Dundee Joint Venture (“Westhaven Dundee JV”) is a mineral exploration and development partnership between Westhaven Gold Corp. and Dundee Corporation, focused on advancing gold and silver projects within Nlaka’pamux Territory.
Our team brings decades of experience in the responsible discovery, development, and operation of mineral projects across Canada and internationally. We believe that strong relationships with Indigenous Nations and local communities are essential to responsible exploration and the successful advancement of projects toward development.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Westhaven Dundee JV is committed to building respectful, long-term relationships with nłeʔképmx communities. We are seeking a Community Engagement Liaison, a community-based position that will play an important role in strengthening communication and fostering positive relationships between Westhaven Dundee JV and nłeʔképmx communities.
Reporting to the Manager of Community Relations, the Community Engagement Liaison will help ensure community members are informed about project activities, employment and training opportunities, and community initiatives. As a trusted local presence, you will serve as a welcoming point of contact for questions, ideas, and feedback while helping to build understanding, support community engagement, and strengthen connections between Westhaven Dundee JV, and community members.
This role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful relationship-building while supporting the responsible advancement of the Shovelnose Project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Relationships
- Build positive, respectful relationships with community members,
Elders, and Knowledge Holders.
- Serve as a trusted and approachable point of contact.
- Support communication between Westhaven Dundee JV, and nłeʔképmx communities.
- Help ensure community interests and perspectives are heard.
Community Engagement
- Assist with planning and coordinating community meetings, open houses, information sessions, and cultural events.
- Represent Westhaven at community events when appropriate.
- Support site visits and project tours.
- Help encourage participation in community engagement activities.
Communications
- Assist in preparing newsletters, community notices, posters, and social media updates.
- Respond to community inquiries or connect people with the appropriate Westhaven Dundee JV staff.
- Help keep community contact information and engagement records up to date.
Employment & Community Opportunities
- Promote employment, training, contracting, scholarship, and internship opportunities.
- Assist community members with accessing employment information.
- Support recruitment activities and community outreach initiatives.
Administration
- Maintain records of meetings, engagement activities, and community feedback.
- Assist with reports, presentations, and tracking community engagement activities.
- Support the Community Relations Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with people and building positive relationships;
- Communicates respectfully, professionally, and with cultural awareness;
- Is organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities;
- Listens actively, maintains confidentiality, and exercises sound judgment;
- Works effectively both independently and as part of a team;
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Office applications;
- Has strong ties to nłeʔképmx communities or an interest in supporting meaningful community engagement.
- Experience in customer service, administration, communications, community engagement, or working with Indigenous communities is also an asset.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is preferred.
- Willingness to attend occasional evening or weekend community events.
- Ability to travel within the local area as required.
