TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for " Corporate Actions Analyst”
This is a 7 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid ( 3 days in office per week).
Typical Day in Role:
Ensure operational efficiency of Corporate Actions is maintained at a high level in accordance with approved policy and procedures by; organizing, prioritizing, and supervising workflows, accurate processing of Mandatory corporate Actions such as Stock Splits, reverse splits, Name change etc, checking/authorizing various components of events as assigned; monitoring outstanding payments due from depositories/issuers/financial institutions.
Ensuring effective procedural and management controls in place are follows. Ensure the team is following escalation procedures for any potential losses; challenging/reviewing existing procedures to ensure adequate controls are implemented.
Assisting in the implementation of current processes/ systems as required; identifying challenges and pursuing opportunities to improve processing efficiency; solving problems of an unusual nature including identifying the root cause of the problem and what is required to prevent a recurrence.
Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all business lines by ensuring that all transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5 years Capital Markets industry experience/knowledge; ideally within Asset Servicing
- Knowledge of the Corporate Actions Event lifecycle and associated risks in the processing deadlines as well as the potential considerations (borrow loan transactions, and failing trades)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Understanding of ADP’s bookkeeping applications as well as the various systems and processes used by Securities Depositories (CDS, DTCC and sub-custodians Clearstream, Citi, BNP and HSBC)
- Experience on Broadridge (ADP, REOR, DIVSY) and TCS (BaNCs) products considered an asset.
- Excellent technical skills (VBA, SQL, PowerBi, Python, R)

- Curiosity and a desire to grow within the Bank
- Organization and time management
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or any other related field.
