Bartle & Gibson has just opened a brand current branch in Salmon Arm! This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected plumbing, heating, and electrical company and be part of a new team. We are currently in search of a team member to conduct Plumbing Counter Sales. The hours for this role are Tuesday to Friday from 6:30a.m to 3:30p.m and Saturday from 9:00a.m to 1:00p.m.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
- Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
- Processing orders in the system
- Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
- Consistent training and understanding of current products
- Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
- Handling returns as required
- Keeping counter and sales area clean
- Merchandising and showcasing product
- Other duties as required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
- Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time




- Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing is preferred
- Knowledge of the Plumbing industry or a background in plumbing products is preferred
