Sales, Customer Service & Parts/Service Associate

Smokehouse Grills & Power Equipment is looking for a motivated, reliable, and technology-savvy team member to join our growing team. This is a part-time to full-time position, with Saturday availability required.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, has strong computer and organizational skills, and is comfortable learning about grills, smokers, outdoor power equipment, parts, and service.

This is a hands-on, multi-functional position where no two days are exactly the same.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service in-store, over the phone, and through digital communication.
- Assist customers with product selection, sales, questions, and general product information.
- Develop a solid working knowledge of our grills, smokers, outdoor power equipment, accessories, and replacement parts.
- Receive incoming shipments, unpack, inspect, organize, and put away inventory.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments and customer orders.
- Assist with service check-ins and equipment drop-offs, gathering customer information and accurately documenting service concerns.
- Help customers identify and order the correct parts and accessories.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of parts identification, compatibility, and product applications.
- Enter orders, customer information, inventory updates, service information, and other data accurately into our computer systems.
- Process sales transactions and assist with invoicing, quotes, and other administrative duties.
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, parts availability, repairs, and service updates.
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and professional showroom, warehouse, parts area, and service counter.
- Assist the team with inventory counts, product receiving, stocking, and general store operations.
- Stay current with new products, technology, manufacturer information, and changes to our computer systems and processes.
- Work closely with sales, service,



parts, and management to provide a seamless customer experience.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:
- Very comfortable with computers and technology and able to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks without losing attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with customers.
- A strong communicator with excellent phone and in-person customer service skills.
- Comfortable learning technical product information and parts identification.
- Sales-oriented, with the ability to listen to customers and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to contribute wherever needed.
- Comfortable working in a busy retail, warehouse, parts, and service environment.
- A self-starter who can work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Willing and able to work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.

Experience Experience in any of the following would be an asset:
- Retail sales or customer service
- Parts counter or parts department
- Small engines or outdoor power equipment
- Grills, smokers, or outdoor living products
- Shipping and receiving
- Inventory management
- Service department or service advising
- Automotive, mechanical, or technical environments

Industry experience is an asset, but not necessarily required. The right candidate must be willing to learn our products and develop solid parts and product knowledge.
