Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Remote (Canada)

Mode: Sub-Con

Job Summary:

The Cyber Recovery Blueprint Project is focused on developing and implementing automated cyber recovery capabilities for identified Minimum Viable Services (MVS) following a cyberattack or ransomware event. The project requires Cyber Resilience & Recovery Engineers to design, implement, automate, test, and validate Cyber Recovery Blueprints for critical on-premises workloads that are not expected to migrate to the cloud before December 31, 2026.

The objective is to establish repeatable, engineered, and tested recovery capabilities that reduce manual intervention and accelerate recovery during cyber incidents.

Cyber Recovery Blueprint Design

- Design Cyber Recovery Blueprints for identified MVS application workloads.
- Define application recovery sequences, dependencies, recovery environments, and recovery acceptance criteria.
- Identify infrastructure, network, storage, identity, security, and data recovery dependencies.

Recovery Automation & Implementation

- Develop and implement automation and orchestration workflows.
- Configure recovery infrastructure and establish recovery sequencing.
- Integrate application, infrastructure, network, identity, storage, and security dependencies.
- Develop recovery automation capabilities and operational procedures.

Testing & Validation

- Execute cyber recovery blueprint testing and validation activities.




- Perform recovery sequencing validation, dependency validation, and application recovery testing.
- Conduct failure and exception testing and remediate identified recovery gaps.
- Measure recovery performance against defined recovery requirements.

Documentation & Transition

- Document recovery blueprints, procedures, and testing results.
- Transition completed cyber recovery capabilities to operational support teams.
- Support knowledge transfer and operational readiness activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cyber Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience designing and implementing automated recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery architecture, recovery orchestration, and resilience engineering.
- Experience integrating application, infrastructure, networking, identity, storage, and security dependencies into recovery solutions.
- Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and remediation of recovery automation processes.
- Experience with ransomware recovery strategies and cyber resilience programs.
- Experience working with cloud and on-premises recovery environments.
- Familiarity with automation and orchestration technologies used for recovery operations.

Experience supporting critical business and technology services in highly regulated environments.
