Data Center Systems Administrator [#4976]

Alteo is seeking a Data Center Systems Administrator for a permanent position based in Boucherville.

Hybrid work: 3 days in-office; 2 days remote

Responsibilities

Maintain the highest level of service availability

Ensure that infrastructure is properly monitored and maintain consistency with other hosted systems

Diagnose and resolve any data center infrastructure incidents and ensure they do not recur

Participate in the assessment and analysis of the company’s needs regarding hosted infrastructure

Administer physical and virtual machines, networking, and storage in the data center

Manage change requests in production and ensure that records of outages, interventions, and incidents are kept up to date

Ensure the continuity of data center backups and implement corrective actions as needed

Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and security

Provide Level 2 and 3 IT support to clients regarding our hosting services

Participate in the analysis and design of creative technological solutions presented to our clients

Apply IT procedures and standards and document associated solutions

Maintain and administer our clients’ systems and application solutions

Diagnose and resolve operational incidents and ensure they do not recur

Support the manager in fulfilling the department’s mandates to achieve established business objectives

Identify relevant IT innovations and bring them to the attention of the Innovation Committee

Draft technical documentation and ensure that it is communicated, understood, and mastered by the stakeholders involved

Develop and disseminate operational procedures while documenting existing secure hosting facilities

Participate in the rotation of the data center incident support team outside of regular business hours

Profile

AEC, DEC, or BAC in IT or networking

4+ years of relevant experience in the role

Proficiency in VMware virtualization tools (required)

Excellent command of Windows environments (11 and Server)

Good knowledge of Hyper-V or Proxmox

Good command of Linux environments

Excellent command of basic and advanced networking concepts (TCP, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN routing, BGP)

Ability to work on physical servers, SAN equipment, and more broadly in a server room

Ability to produce clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation

Knowledge of Azure and O365 InTune environments (a plus)

Relevant recognized certification related to virtualization, security, or the cloud (e.g., CompTIA, AZ-104, MD-102) (a plus)

Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) (a plus)

Excellent command of French, both spoken and written

Good command of English, both spoken and written, to be able to communicate with certain non-French-speaking clients (a plus)

@@@@@ Alteo est à la recherche d'un Administrateur Systèmes Data Center pour un poste permanent basé à Boucherville.

Responsabilités

Maintenir le plus haut taux de disponibilité des services





S’assurer que les infrastructures sont bien monitorées et préserver la cohérence avec les autres systèmes hébergés

Diagnostiquer et traiter les éventuels incidents d’infrastructure du centres de données et s’assurer qu’ils ne se reproduisent plus

Participer à l’étude et à l’analyse des besoins de l’entreprise en matière d’infrastructures hébergées

Administrer les machines physiques et virtuelles, la réseautique et le stockage dans le centre de données

Garantir la gestion des demandes de changement en production et s’assurer de maintenir à jour les registres de pannes, d’interventions et d’incidents

Assurer la continuité des sauvegardes des données du centre de données et mettre en place les actions correctives s’il y a lieu

S’assurer de l’intégrité, de la confidentialité et de la sécurité des données

Offrir un service de soutien informatique de niveau 2 et 3 pour la clientèle en lien avec nos activités d’hébergement

Participer à l’analyse et à la conception des solutions technologiques innovantes présentées à nos clients

Appliquer les procédures/standards TI et documenter les solutions associées

Assurer la maintenance et l'administration des systèmes et solutions applicatives de nos clients

Diagnostiquer et traiter les incidents d'exploitation et s’assurer que les incidents ne se reproduisent plus

Appuyer le ou la gestionnaire dans la réalisation des mandats de son service afin d’atteindre les objectifs d’affaires fixés

Anticiper les innovations pertinentes dans le domaine des TI et les adresser au Comité Innovation

Rédiger de la documentation technique et veiller à ce que celle-ci soit communiquée, assimilée et maîtrisée par les intervenants impliqués

Élaborer et diffuser les procédures d’exploitation tout en documentant les installations existantes en matière d’hébergement sécurisé

Participer à la rotation de l’équipe de support de panne du centre de données en dehors des heures de bureau

Profil

AEC, DEC ou BAC en TI ou réseautique

4+ années d'expérience pertinente au poste

Maitrise des outils de virtualisation VMWare (obligatoire)

Excellente maitrise des environnement Windows (11 et Server)

Bonne connaissance de Hyper-V ou Proxmox

Bonne maitrise des environnement Linux

Excellente maitrise des concepts réseaux de base et avancé (TCP, Wi-Fi, Routage LAN/WAN, BGP)

Capacité à travailler sur des serveurs physiques, équipements SAN et plus largement à travailler dans une salle serveur

Capacité à faire de la documentation claire, précise et complète

Connaissance des environnements Azure et O365 InTune (atout)

Certification pertinente reconnue liée à la virtualisation, la sécurité ou le cloud (ex. : Comptia, AZ-104, MD-102) (atout)

Connaissance en automatisation d’infrastructure (Ansible, Terraform) (atout)

Excellente maitrise du français, à l’oral comme à l’écrit

Bonne maitrise de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit, afin d’être en mesure de communiquer avec certains clients non-francophones (atout)
