Receives verbal/written endorsement regarding changes in resident status JOB POSTING - DIETARY AIDE/PORTER “How do you live in the moment?” Receives verbal/written endorsement regarding changes in resident status Reports observations to Food Service Manager/Supervisor relating to resident care and others (food preferences, likes & dislikes, intake) Ongoing delivery of customer service with staff, residents, families, and the public Ensuring optimal quality of life for each resident by the delivery of individualized resident care Follow therapeutic interventions according to resident’s plan of care Contributing to the overall pleasurable dining experience of our residents during mealtimes Report faulty equipment and ensure removal from unit Completion of documentation record of every shift (food temperature, freezer, fridge, sanitizer, dish machine, equipment checklist audit, cleaning checklists etc.) Adhering to Infection Prevention and Control and Protected Food Handling procedures Required to understand the nature and meaning of quality indicators used by the Home and to understand which indicators are publicly reported.



Monitor and maintain inventory for work areas and communicate needs to the Cook or Food Services Supervisor/Food Services Manager Other duties as assigned and or indicated Job Task Inventory Food Handler Certification given by Public Health or a certified agency Able to work flexible hours, such as emergency situations Be knowledgeable of the Ministry of Long-Term Care, Public Health and Home’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing To show evidence of being person centered and customer focused when interacting and knowing how to turn a task into positive social interaction.
