Lead strategic initiatives for Indigenous education with the Alberta Public Service as Director of Stakeholder Relations in Edmonton. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to improve educational outcomes for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. This full-time leadership role provides guidance for the Partnerships and Research Sector, focusing on developing strategic relationships and partnerships to enhance Indigenous education in Alberta.
You will oversee stakeholder engagement, emergency management planning, and the implementation of educational programs tailored to Indigenous needs. Your leadership will drive cooperative efforts among various educational authorities and Indigenous organizations. Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders
- Develop strategic partnerships to support education success
- Provide operational support to First Nations Education Authorities
- Lead emergency management planning and readiness exercises
- Guide a high-performing team in program delivery Requirements:
- University degree related to the role
- Seven years of leadership experience
- Deep understanding of Indigenous education issues
- Strong relationship management skills
