What You’ll Do
You’ll act with integrity to:
- Oversee the efficient organization and management of the Parliamentary Food Services operation, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, health, and safety are consistently maintained.
- Provide strategic leadership, management, and oversight of all food service operations within the Legislative Precinct.
- Direct all food production and related operational functions, overseeing catering, dining and other ancillary food services, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and customer focused food services.
You’ll support our collaboration as you:
- Consult with executive and senior management to gather feedback, identify organizational service goals, objectives and needs, and develop strategies and implement action-oriented plans to achieve those objectives.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director, Building Services, identify annual service objectives, develop revenue targets, and make recommendations regarding operating and capital budgets.
- Provide staff development, performance management, coaching/mentoring, recruitment, and retention, as well as assessment and planning for branch staffing needs.
- Co-operate with internal contacts such as the Clerk, Senior Management, Directors/Managers/Supervisors, staff, MPPs, and Caucus Administrators.
How You Qualify You demonstrate excellence through your:
- Completion of post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Food Services Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing a large-scale food service operation, including responsibility for staffing, budgeting, financial management, and operational performance.
- Experience within a private members' club environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of principles and practices related to delivering exceptional customer service,
including service standards, quality assurance, and methods for evaluating customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards, with demonstrated ability to implement effective practices to protect people, property and operations.
- Knowledge of principles and practices related to the development, promotion, and delivery of food service programs, products, and services.
- Knowledge of financial and administrative systems, budget development, financial management, reporting, and operational controls.
