This role is focused on ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient handling of commodity packaging requirements, while fostering collaboration across category, supply chain, and vendor teams. Thriving within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the Supply Chain Coordinator works primarily within Oppy’s centralized platform, Optimo and maintains solid attention to detail, builds positive working relationships, and upholds the company’s core values. S. and Canada office locations.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors including location, job-related skills, relevant experience, education, formal training and internal equity. Supports the execution of packaging procurement and inventory processes through Optimo, ensuring packaging is available to meet program needs while minimizing inventory overages and liabilities. Coordinates packaging purchase orders, monitors order lifecycles from issuance through delivery, and provides updates to internal teams on delivery timelines.
Monitors packaging stock levels across facilities; supports reordering triggers and participates in physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Partners with vendors to confirm orders, deliveries, and packaging specifications, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Provides support for packaging pricing inputs, including updates to base costs and consumption data within established templates.
Assists with packaging quality checks and contributes feedback to cross-functional teams regarding packaging performance and suitability. contributes data to forecasting models and highlights trends or areas for efficiency improvement. Engages in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline packaging-related processes and enhance communication. Maintains up-to‑date documentation for procurement activities, vendor records, and SOP checklists to support audit and compliance readiness.
Upholds a collaborative and customer‑focused approach, supporting effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging orders, invoice approvals, inventory, and reporting. Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;
experience with ERP systems or packaging platforms (such as Optimo) considered an asset. Interest in sustainability and packaging innovation. Degree, diploma, or related training in supply chain, business administration, or a related field is an asset. Minimum, 1–3 years’ experience in supply chain, inventory, or packaging coordination preferred.
Experience with Chep pallet and IFCO RPC management considered an asset.
Experience in produce or food industry considered an asset.
