Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons tailored to students’ age groups and skill levels, fostering a love for performing arts
- Plan and coordinate theatrical performances, including rehearsals, set design, costumes, and stage management
- Support students in developing acting techniques, voice projection, improvisation skills, and stage presence
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and teamwork among students
- Assess student progress through observations, feedback, and performance evaluations to help them improve their craft
- Collaborate with colleagues on school productions, extracurricular activities, and community events




- Incorporate elements of early childhood education where appropriate to ensure activities are accessible and enjoyable for younger learners

Skills

- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring drama or performing arts to children or young adults
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with children in educational settings, including early childhood education environments
- Ability to incorporate creative activities such as cooking or arts & crafts into lesson plans to enhance learning experiences
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and provide constructive feedback
- Passion for nurturing talent in young performers while maintaining a lively and energetic teaching style
- Knowledge of theatrical techniques, stagecraft, and performance production processes
