Around the World Early Learning Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Early Learning Program Staff member to join our growing team.
Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is not required for this position. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and takes pride in helping create a safe, engaging, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Our program staff work alongside RECEs and other educators to support children's daily routines, learning experiences and development. We value team members who are dependable, energetic, patient, communicate effectively and want to contribute to a positive environment for both children and their colleagues.

Qualifications / Assets The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with children in a child care, educational, recreational or similar setting
- Have education or training related to early childhood education, child development or a related field considered an asset
- Have an understanding of How Does Learning Happen? or a willingness to learn
- Have experience supporting children with diverse and special needs considered an asset
- Bring a flexible, energetic,
patient and positive approach to working with children
- Work effectively as part of a classroom team
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a mature, dependable and responsible approach to their work
- Hold current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification, or be willing to obtain it
- Provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Meet applicable immunization requirements for working in licensed child care
Responsibilities and Duties
As a member of our program staff, you will:
- Help create and maintain a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for children
- Establish positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Work alongside RECEs and other educators to support daily classroom programming
- Participate in engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Engage meaningfully with children throughout the day to support their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
- Observe and respond to children's individual interests, strengths and needs
- Support children with diverse abilities and individual needs
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, transitions, outdoor play and rest periods
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to maintain a positive, organized and engaging classroom
- Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and caregivers
- Follow centre policies, licensing requirements and applicable child-care regulations
