MARMAC Mechanical Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join our team supporting mining operations in British Columbia.

This position is ideal for a safety-focused leader with strong experience supervising earthworks crews, heavy equipment operations, and civil construction activities in a mining or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership to earthworks crews and equipment operators.
- Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and priorities to meet operational requirements.
- Supervise earthworks activities including excavation, grading, road construction and maintenance, material placement, drainage, and general civil works.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and site procedures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, field-level risk assessments, inspections, and other required safety activities.
- Monitor employee and contractor performance and provide coaching and direction as required.
- Coordinate closely with client representatives, operations, maintenance, and other site departments.
- Identify changing site conditions, hazards, equipment requirements, and potential delays.
- Ensure daily reports, timesheets, equipment records, and other required documentation are completed accurately.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and safety-driven work environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in earthworks, civil construction, mining,



or heavy equipment operations.
- Strong working knowledge of earthmoving activities and heavy equipment operations.
- Experience working around excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, haul trucks, and other heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of safe work procedures and hazard identification in an active mine or construction environment.
- Ability to effectively plan and coordinate crews, equipment, and daily work activities.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Mine-site experience is considered a robust asset.
- Relevant supervisory and safety certifications are considered an asset.
