Electrical design, including the updating of electrical drawings.
Prepare Technical specifications for instrumentation and control systems.
Develop controls schematics, PLC, HMI and drive system programing.
Identify and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems.
Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
Develop testing and maintenance procedures for electronic equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment motor controls, safety sensors and relays.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and regulatory policies, and practices ensuring safe, efficient and consistent operation and maintenance of equipment and processes
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A recognized degree in electrical engineering or an electrical technologist certification with suitable experience.
- At least 6 years experience with PLC controls. Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls, and SIEMENS S7 Programming platforms are desirable.
- Experience with full lifecycle project experience: From controls hardware design to PLC programming. and to commissioning projects.
- Familiar with automated systems and process control
- Ability to function with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to get the job done.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office programs
- Must possess a high level of effective written and verbal communication skills
