Role Description An Eye Care Consultant at Specsavers provides personalized customer service and supports patients through their eye care journey. This part-time, on-site role includes greeting customers, understanding their eye care needs, and guiding them through frame selection, lens options, and product features.

The Eye Care

Consultant assists with appointment bookings, supports optometrists and clinical teams by preparing patients for exams, and explains recommended products or services in clear, accessible language. Daily tasks also involve maintaining a clean and organized retail and clinical space, handling basic administrative duties such as processing payments and documentation, and ensuring each customer has a positive, professional experience that reflects Specsavers’ standards.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain eye care products and services clearly.
- Retail or sales experience, preferably in optical, healthcare,



or a customer-facing environment.
- Attention to detail and basic administrative skills, including handling bookings, documentation, and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting and support optometrists and other colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in eye care and willingness to learn about frames, lenses, and optical products; prior optical experience is an asset but not required.
- Availability to work part time, including evenings or weekends as needed, and to be consistently on-site in Richmond, BC.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education in retail, healthcare, or optics is beneficial.
