Position: Social Worker, NSACTT Days, Evenings and Weekends.

Hourly Rate: Pay Band 7 $ 37.58 - $ 43.96 Temporary Full-time (up to March 31, 2027) OPSEU/SEFPO Local 489 Vacancies: One (1) This posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization Job Summary: The Social Worker works as a member of an interdisciplinary team independently carrying out treatment, rehabilitation and support functions to facilitate community living, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovery within support functions to facilitate community living, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery for persons living with a serious mental illness. Social work expertise is shared with other team members to assist in clients’ engagement and partnership with family members; All services are provided in accordance with the mission, vision, values and established protocols of the Agency, and the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation. There are a number of specialty Social Worker roles, supporting clients across multiple programs at the Agency.

Social

Worker, Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) works within the ACT team as a Mental Health professional Social Worker carrying out treatment, rehabilitation and support functions to facilitate community living, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovering within the contact of the ACT model for persons living with a serious illness.



Bachelor of Social Work Current unrestricted registration with the Ontario College of Social Worker and Social Service Workers One-year relevant experience providing services to individuals who live with a serious mental illness, in a community setting preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR, an asset Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, an asset Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, an asset Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of mental health symptoms, issues, psychotropic medications and associated side effects Excellent bio-psychosocial and health assessment skills Knowledge of and ability to apply psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery principles Knowledge of and ability to incorporate best practices in community support for individuals living with a serious mental illness Ability to effectively utilize community resources and supports to meet the needs of individualsAbility to work under pressure within a changing setting Working knowledge of the Health Care Consent Act, Mental Health Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, and other relevant legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively engage community services and individuals, increasing awareness of services Basic proficiency in computer skills; MS Office preferred Ability to work rotating days, evenings and weekends French Language proficiency considered an asset We encourage applications from all candidates who would contribute to the diversity of our community and enhance our ability to provide quality services to our clients.
