Our client, a leading edge developer of microscopy and high-precision image analysis solutions for various industries including Metallurgy, Biomedical Engineering and others, is currently looking for a Field Technical Support Specialist to act a front-line contact with customers across North America.

Responsibilities

- Respond to service tickets and follow up on client requests within agreed timeframes
- Perform installations, commissioning, or repairs of microscopes or hardness testers directly at client sites
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of scientific equipment at client sites
- Create or modify automated image analysis routines (macros) for clients
- Provide technical support to the sales team (demonstrations, technical questions, documentation)
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally
- Maintain transparent and courteous communication with clients at every step

Candidate Profile

- Experience or education in biomedical engineering, microscopy, image analysis, metallurgy, mineralogy, or geology is an asset
- Education in science, technology, engineering, or any relevant field — or equivalent experience demonstrating technical curiosity
- Bilingualism in French/English required (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong client-service orientation




- Comfortable traveling to client sites worldwide, up to 33% of the time
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Proactive attitude, resourcefulness, and team spirit
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Able to travel to the United States and Europe from the start of employment

Assets

- Experience in technical support or customer service
- Knowledge of the industrial or scientific precision equipment
