JOB PURPOSE

The Electrician is responsible for electrical work at the journeyman level.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act as an Electrician.
- Must have two years of experience.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Electrician is responsible for:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating,



testing and modifying electrical components of building systems
- Performing both demand and preventative maintenance on electrical components of building systems
- Performing the electrical aspects of new construction, installation and renovations for medical and non-medical systems
- Maintaining the fire alarm system
- Installing and maintaining phone and data systems
- Designing control systems and wiring schematics
- Keeping and maintaining records and documentation
