Front Desk / Member Services Representative

Northumberland Fitness is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Front Desk / Member Services Representative to join our team.

The Front Desk Representative is often the first person our members see when they walk through the door. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive experience for everyone who visits our facility.

Responsibilities

- Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Check members in and assist with membership inquiries
- Answer phone calls, emails, and general questions about the gym
- Assist new members with registration, memberships, and account questions
- Schedule appointments, consultations, and fitness services as required
- Process payments and assist with membership changes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
- Help monitor the facility and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Promote gym programs, services, memberships, and upcoming events
- Assist with basic administrative tasks and data entry
- Provide excellent customer service and help resolve member concerns
- Follow all gym policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
- Work cooperatively with trainers, management, and other staff members

Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional personality
- Reliable and punctual




- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Previous customer service, reception, retail, or fitness-industry experience is an asset
- Interest in health and fitness is an asset
- Must be comfortable interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds
