Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional care for a male elderly patient in his own residence. This vital role involves supporting daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. As patient is 5'10" weighing approx 165 lbs who is 75% immobile, someone who is at least 5ft or taller to be able to reach both left and right side of the beds when providing perineal care is most desired.

The ideal candidate will also bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to enhance the quality of life for our client while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal hygiene routines, including bathing, grooming, and dressing to promote independence and dignity.
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and maintain detailed medication records.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Support mobility by helping with transfers, walking, and positioning to prevent falls and injuries.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living areas, laundry, and maintaining a tidy workplace.




- Monitor health status by observing changes in behavior or physical condition and report any concerns promptly.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive, engaging atmosphere for the patient.

Skills

- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and mobility assistance.
- Familiarity with dementia care, hospice care, or caring for individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for transfers or mobility assistance.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while documenting care activities accurately.
- Dependable with a flexible attitude to meet the dynamic needs of in-home caregiving.
