Duties

- Coordinate and assign freight loads to drivers based on delivery schedules, driver availability, and route optimization strategies
- Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and real-time updates
- Enter data accurately into shipping & receiving logs, freight documentation, and other operational records using data entry skills
- Analyze shipment data to identify potential delays or issues, providing proactive solutions to keep deliveries on track
- Collaborate with supply chain partners including third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline freight movements and improve service levels
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when interacting with clients, drivers,



and vendors to foster positive relationships
- Support shipping & receiving operations by coordinating pickups, deliveries, and inventory updates as needed

Skills

- Solid understanding of supply chain processes and freight logistics within the trucking industry
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally
- Skilled in data entry with high accuracy in typing and record keeping
- Analysis skills to interpret shipment data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures including documentation requirements and compliance standards
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with 3PL operations and freight management best practices
