General building maintenance workers - Job Opportunities in Port-Cartier Correctional Service of Canada Employment tenure Staffing needs include opportunities for permanent, temporary, and casual employment (note: casual work is offered for a fixed duration not exceeding 90 working days in the same calendar year).

Salary From $31.24 to $33.95 per hour, in addition to annual allowances such as a $2,140 Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance (CSSDA) and an Inmate Training Differential. Who can apply Persons residing in Canada, and Canadian citizens and Permanent residents abroad. Must be willing and able to work and lift tools, equipment and objects weighing at least 50 lbs when required (candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition).

Must be willing to work overtime and flexible schedule. Must be willing to perform duties at any of the locations within the cluster for which this position serves. Must be willing to work in correctional facilities.

Willingness and ability to go to various places (e.g. confined spaces, roofs, construction sites, etc.). An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*, or Your background (education, training, experience)



or another qualification (such as a satisfactory result on a Public Service Commission test) may be accepted to meet the essential education requirement for this position. EX1: Experience and/or training in the operations, repair and/or maintenance of buildings, and/or grounds.
