We are looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead the Nova Inn Yellowknife.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Operations, the General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operation of the hotel.

This role is ideal for a hotel leader who combines strong business and financial acumen with visible, people-focused leadership. You will drive operational excellence, financial performance, sales growth and guest satisfaction while developing a strong and engaged hotel team.

What You’ll Do

· Lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring a consistently solid guest and employee experience.

· Drive revenue, profitability and market performance while maintaining Nova’s service and quality standards.

· Manage budgets, forecasts and financial performance, with a strong understanding of RevPAR, GOP, NOI and key hotel operating metrics.

· Review monthly financial and operational results, identify opportunities and take action to achieve performance targets.

· Grow existing business while identifying new corporate, group and local revenue opportunities.

· Lead, coach and develop the hotel’s management team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and growth.

· Ensure appropriate operating systems, controls and standards are maintained throughout the property.

· Maintain compliance with applicable health and safety, liquor, fire, environmental and other regulatory requirements.





· Build strong relationships with guests, employees, corporate partners, suppliers and the Yellowknife business and tourism community.

What You Bring

· Progressive leadership experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.

· Experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Director of Operations or in a comparable senior hotel leadership role is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Rooms Division and Sales.

· Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, P&L; management and hotel performance metrics.

· Strong commercial mindset with the ability to grow revenue while managing costs and profitability.

· Proven ability to lead, coach and develop managers and frontline teams.

· Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.

· A practical, hands-on leadership style and the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operations.
