About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Video & Events to lead the strategy, operations, and execution of video, social, photography, and events across our portfolio of 25 digital brands.
This is a highly autonomous leadership role combining creativity, business strategy, operations, and team leadership. You will work across Brand, Sales, GTM, Finance, Legal, HR, and senior leadership to turn ideas into scalable initiatives that drive audience growth and revenue.
Responsibilities
Video, Social & Creative Strategy
- Own the overall video and social strategy across 25 brands, adapting the approach to each brand’s audience, identity, and P&L;.
- Develop new content concepts and identify opportunities through emerging trends, creators, influencers, platforms, and AI.
- Bridge video, social, photography, and editorial to build scalable content strategies.
- Stay close to each brand and its audience to understand what is trending, what performs, and where current opportunities exist.
- Establish KPIs and use performance data to continuously improve content strategy.
- Hire for all video, social and adjacent event roles.
Events & Campaigns
- Lead the planning and execution of major events, campaigns, shoots, and original productions.
- Own budgets, timelines, vendors,
and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Partner with Sales and GTM to turn commercial opportunities into compelling, executable creative initiatives.
- Ensure commercial commitments are delivered and performance targets are met.
- Produce post-event and campaign recaps using clear performance and revenue data.
Operations & Business Performance
- Own creative intake and prioritization across the organization, balancing competing brand, marketing, sales, and leadership priorities.
- Build scalable workflows, tools, and processes that improve efficiency, quality, and turnaround time.
- Track budgets, spend, production capacity, and KPIs across the creative operation.
- Coordinating invoices, contracts, and payments for freelancers and external vendors.
- Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the production pipeline.
- Evaluate and implement AI and emerging technologies that can improve efficiency, content creation, and reporting.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 25 employees, freelancers, and vendors, including 5 direct reports.
- Set clear priorities, KPIs, and expectations while empowering the team to operate autonomously.
- Build a high-performing, accountable, and creative culture.
- Develop scalable structures that allow the team to grow with the business.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in video, creative production, digital media, social, events, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading creative teams and managing external vendors and partners.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and commercial deliverables.
- Strong understanding of digital video, social media, audience growth, and monetization.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at scale.
- Creative thinker who can turn trends and ideas into actionable, measurable initiatives.
- Highly comfortable with data, technology, and AI tools.
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and senior leadership.
- Passionate about digital media and social platforms, with a strong understanding of what resonates with different audiences.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to build and improve.
- Able to treat each brand as a unique client and adapt strategies based on its audience, identity, and business objectives.
