Position: Heavy-duty equipment mechanic NOC 72401

Locations of Work: 14 MacDonald Road, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Y1A 4L2.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $45.00 per hour.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time, 35 to 40 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

Education: College or University degree – Mechanical engineering-related fields of study

Language: English

Security and Safety: Drug test- Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol and Criminal record check.

Experience:

- 1 year to less than 2 years experience on the field.
- A valid driver’s license with 2 years experience driving and clean driver’s abstract.

Duties and Main responsibilities:

- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
