The Role

We're building a new crew to operate in the large utility industry in and around the Bancroft and Haliburton counties, and we're looking for an experienced, self-motivated Heavy Equipment Operator / AZ Truck Driver to lead it. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role for someone who takes ownership of their work and equipment, and who's ready to run a small crew on utility job sites.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators ranging from 5-ton to 30-ton class on utility job sites
- Perform heavy haul operations, including hauling and transporting equipment
- Drive AZ tractor to and from job sites throughout the Bancroft/Haliburton area, including trailer hook-up/drop-off
- Operate rock drilling equipment as required
- Lead and direct a new crew on-site to keep utility jobs running safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment (excavators, drill rigs, trucks)
- Identify and report equipment issues before they become costly problems
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and organized job site
- Follow all safety protocols and applicable regulations

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment (excavators 5–30 ton class)
- Valid AZ driver's licence with clean abstract
- Heavy haul driving experience
- Rock drilling experience an asset
- Prior experience leading or supervising a small crew
- Mechanically inclined, with solid equipment maintenance skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and drive to do the job right
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Pay: $80,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
