Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring accurate tracking of guest information
- Answer incoming phone calls with qualified phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Address guest inquiries promptly, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with basic food service tasks or guest needs when appropriate
Skills
- Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service environments with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and POS systems like Micros POS
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow seamlessly
