Position Overview:We are seeking an HR Coordinator to assist our HR team with various tasks and projects. This unpaid volunteer role requires a commitment of 5-10 hours per week and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the animal welfare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment efforts, including posting opportunities and scheduling interviews.
- Intake and triage HR inquiries from different teams to appropriate HR team members.
- Organize training sessions, meetings, and HR events for volunteers.
- Manage and update volunteer databases and HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Help draft HR policies and communication materials.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation programs to support new volunteers.
- Collaborate with the other HR team members to improve HR processes and volunteer engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in HR, administration,
or volunteer coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Working under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Self-starter, ability to work in an ambiguous setting.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment files at a time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Enthusiasm for animal welfare and working in a collaborative, volunteer-driven environment.
