We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist / Manager to join the VESC HR team in Granby, Quebec. This role will support HR operations for a manufacturing environment, with responsibilities across talent acquisition, payroll and compensation, workforce planning, HR compliance, and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in full-cycle recruitment, payroll processing, HRIS/payroll systems, and Canadian/Quebec labor law compliance. This position will also contribute to workforce planning, HR policy development, labor cost analysis, and organizational culture initiatives as the business continues to grow.

[Key Responsibilities]

- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer negotiations.
- Manage recruitment channels, agencies, and partnerships with universities or local communities.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding and improve the new hire integration experience.
- Handle payroll execution, attendance tracking, wage calculations, benefits, and year-end filings.
- Support compensation analysis, labor cost management, and wage system improvements.
- Develop workforce planning, headcount forecasts,



HR policies, and internal HR procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and Quebec labor standards, including CNESST-related requirements.
- Manage employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Support employee relations, organizational culture, and change management initiatives.

[Requirements]

- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum 11 years of HR experience.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid recruitment, payroll, HRIS, and compensation management experience.
- Understanding of Canadian/Quebec labor laws and statutory benefits.
- Intermediate English proficiency or above.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, execution, and data-handling integrity.

[Preferred Qualifications]

- Experience in a large company or manufacturing organization.
- Experience supporting the setup of a new overseas plant or subsidiary.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor law and local HR operation trends.
- Leadership experience as a team leader, part leader, or similar role.
