What You’ll Do

- Shape user experiences across a diverse range of digital products within an agile, iterative environment.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders to analyze, design, and articulate your design vision.
- Drive user comprehension and improve task performance by applying a deep understanding of user interface patterns and behaviors.
- Support analytic thinking with large data sets through compelling visualizations and interactions.
- Facilitate design critique sessions, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert advice to cross-functional teams.
- Lead ideation sessions and collaborative work activities, acting as the interaction design subject-matter expert.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of interaction design theory,



visual design theory, research data, and best practices to inform design decisions.
- Create complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
- Develop detailed prototypes to provide precise delivery specifications for development teams.
- Present sophisticated interaction design work to senior stakeholders, effectively communicating rationale and impact.
- Facilitate usability testing to gather critical user feedback.
- Actively participate in or initiate research activities to deepen understanding of user needs.
- Research interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and conduct competitive audits relevant to specific design or business goals.
- Perform pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as needed to maintain design system integrity and consistency.

What You’ll Bring Must-have

- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- A compelling portfolio that showcases application design samples.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
- Experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.




- Expertise with industry-standard design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.

Nice-to-have

- MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
- An appreciation for the potential of ‘design thinking’.
- Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
