The Role

Your primary mandate is clear: get a newly signed school or district from contract to a live, trained, working product fast and smoothly. The Implementation Manager at Minga owns everything from the sales handoff call to the go-live sign-off. Once the school/district is live and the Account Manager is briefed, the account relationship is theirs.

This role lives at the intersection of project management, technical configuration, and people skills. You'll be juggling district IT teams, academic calendar constraints, rostering, and administrator walkthroughs, often in parallel across multiple accounts. Success looks like on-time launches, trained admins, and an Account Manager who receives a handoff they can actually use.

Between launches, you are Minga's deepest technical and product expert on the customer-facing side. You'll run special projects across the existing base — platform migrations, product upgrade implementations, and rollouts of new capabilities that come in through a contract — assist in building the digital content and training assets the whole customer team relies on, and get pulled in by Account Managers and Account Executives when an account needs someone who knows the platform inside and out. Expect real customer face time year-round, not just during launch season.

What You’ll Do ?

Implementation Planning

- Lead the sales-to-implementation handoff call or review the AE's handoff documentation and build your project plan from it
- Design a detailed implementation timeline calibrated to the district's academic calendar, IT availability, and staff training windows
- Own all project communication with the school/district from kickoff to go-live

Technical Setup
- Manage rostering integration including data mapping, validation, and troubleshooting
- Oversee data import and validation: verify student records, school structures, and staff rosters are accurate before go-live
- Own the IT relationship; navigate internal escalations to unblock technical dependencies
- Set up bell schedule

Training & Enablement
- Deliver administrator configuration walkthroughs, live (Zoom) or recorded with completion tracking
- Run staff training sessions tailored to each rollout plan: phased by school, grade level, or use case
- Assist the Digital team in building and maintaining digital content including help center articles, training materials, walkthroughs, videos, and self-serve resources
- Host live training sessions, group implementation calls and webinars as subject matter experts to support the Digital team
- Train customers on new product enhancements as they ship, and refresh the supporting content when the product changes
- Support Account Managers with ongoing site-level training in the existing base: new schools coming online inside a live district, new administrators, and staff turnover

Go-Live Ownership
- Assess go-live readiness against a defined checklist; make the go/no-go call with confidence

- Monitor early adoption signals in the first days post-launch; address blockers before handing off
- Deliver a comprehensive written handoff to the Account Manager: org structure, key contacts, open issues, usage baseline, and any promises made

Special Projects & Product Upgrades
- Run platform migration projects across the existing base — for example, moving districts off Clever rostering onto MingaSync
- Own product upgrade implementations and version transitions for live customers: scoping, sequencing, communication, and validation
- Implement recent capabilities sold into an existing contract, treating each as a scoped project with its own plan and go-live
- Support campaigns and coordinated pushes across the base where the work is technical or training-heavy
- Bring what you learn back into the standard process — every special project should leave behind a repeatable playbook

Subject Matter Expertise & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Minga's solutions for both customers and internal teams
- Support Account Executives on trials and technical evaluations: integration feasibility, security and IT questions, and configuration of pilot environments
- Take Account Manager requests for technical or product depth on key accounts, where an escalation, a complex configuration, or a strategic objective needs someone with implementation-grade knowledge
- Flag upsell and expansion signals to the Account Manager. You notice them, you don't run them
- Provide feedback to the Product team on recurring friction points encountered during implementation
- Collaborate with the AE team to improve handoff documentation standards and templates

What This Role Doesn't Own
- Renewal conversations or contract paperwork
- Long-term relationship strategy, account planning, or business reviews
- Running upsell and expansion deals
- Day-to-day support tickets after handoff

The distinction on the training and special-project work above is deliberate: you provide the expertise and deliver the sessions, the Account Manager owns the account and the commercial relationship. What Success Looks Like In the first 30 days:
- Full command of Minga's implementation process, technical stack, and integration options
- Working knowledge of all six Minga solutions and the workflows behind them
- Shadow on active implementations; first solo kickoff call completed
- Strong working relationships with Product and the AE and AM teams

In the first 90 days:
- Multiple implementations running independently, on schedule

- First go-live delivered on time with a clean AM handoff
- Feedback from Account Managers on handoff quality consistently positive
- First special project or upgrade delivered, with a reusable playbook left behind
- Trusted as a technical resource on at least one AE trial or evaluation

Ongoing:
- Time to value (contract → go-live): [TBD] days average
- On-time launch rate: [TBD]%
- Training completion rate: [TBD]%
- Handoff quality rating of 4+/5 from Account Management team

What We Require ✅

- 2+ years in SaaS implementation, onboarding, technical customer success, or a similar role
- Experience with SSO configuration (SAML, Google SSO) and rostering integrations (Clever, ClassLink, OneRoster) strongly preferred
- Strong project management skills, you can run multiple implementations in parallel without dropping a ball
- Comfortable leading technical conversations with IT staff and non-technical walkthroughs with administrators
- Excellent written and verbal communication; your project plans and handoff documents are transparent and complete
- HubSpot or similar CRM/project tool experience
- K-12 EdTech or education technology experience is a strong asset

Who You Are ?

- Methodical and organized. You build a plan and work it, and you hate leaving loose ends
- A explicit communicator who can switch registers between a district IT director and an assistant principal in the same day
- A great troubleshooter. When something technical blocks a launch, you dig in and find the path
- Accountable for the handoff, not just the launch. You care that the Account Manager has what they need
- Calm under pressure. School calendars don't flex, and you don't panic when timelines compress
- Mission-aligned. You understand that a smooth implementation isn't just a project milestone; it's what determines whether a school actually gets value from Minga

Compensation Philosophy & Transparency ?

At Minga, we believe compensation should reflect impact, fairness, and market alignment, supporting our mission to empower educators and students while building a high-performing, people-first culture. Our standard is to pay at or near the midpoint of the range unless there is a clear business rationale to vary. This approach allows for growth and provides room to learn and develop within the role.

We also conduct annual compensation reviews in November, which take into account both market benchmarks and individual performance.
