The purpose of this role is to support logistics and operations for the Tool Steel division. The chosen candidate will be working as a member of a cross functional team of supply chain, operations and sales to support business growth in becoming the global market leader in the Tool Steel.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
Inbound/Outbound
•Manage and monitor the flow of goods and services from suppliers to warehouse to customers
•Develop and implement logistics plans and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
•Ensuring that products are delivered on time to customers by coordinating with carriers such as trucking companies or railway
Customs & Compliance
•Awareness and knowledge of incoterms and their requirements
•Preparing bills of lading and other shipping/customs documents
•Coordinating shipments with customs officials, brokerage vendors to ensure compliance with international shipping laws when required
Cost Management & KPIs
•Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and cost savings
•Making payments to vendors on time while following budgets while auditing invoices for accuracy
•Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and transportation vendors
•Responsible of continuous improvement of logistics workflow with cost and lead time reduction
Problem Solving
•Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve logitical issues
•Coordinate with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
•Identify potential risk and problem areas and provide recommended solutions
Administration
•Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data as per Quality Management System
•Performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phones
•Additional tasks as assigned by management
•Daily Operations support with Billings and order Fulfillment The above-mentioned full time opportunity will be open to an individual that would ideally possess the following knowledge and skills:
•1-3 years of experience in logistics management or coordination within an intermediate-level role
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
•Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
•Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
•Strong digital and technology proficiency
•Knowledge of import/export compliance procedures, HS Codes, and U.S. trade regulations
•Previous experience with SAP is considered and asset
Languages
•Local language, Fluent in English
