Elevate Indigenous knowledge at U of T Mississauga as a Special Projects Officer focused on curriculum and pedagogies. Lead impactful initiatives that enhance awareness of Indigenous ways of knowing and curriculum innovation. Reporting to the Director of the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre, you will drive projects that foster understanding of Indigenous issues.
Your role involves research, workshop facilitation, and collaboration with departmental leads and committees. You will ensure UTM's progress toward the Calls to Action in Indigenous education. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and manage projects enhancing Indigenous knowledge
- Design and facilitate engaging educational workshops
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and committees
- Undertake research on various Indigenous topics
- Follow through on initiatives promoting Indigenous pedagogy Requirements:
- 6 years of project management experience
- 4 years working with Indigenous communities
- Solid understanding of Indigenous education
- Excellent skills in communication and presentation
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Become a key figure in promoting Indigenous curriculum development at U of T.
