Sling-Choker Mfg. Group has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Representative at our Thunder Bay location.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial sales workplace. Previous experience in industrial sales, rigging, lifting equipment, or mechanical products is an asset, but not required. Training and product education are available to help develop the required knowledge.

Responsibilities

- Assist walk-in, telephone, and email customers with product inquiries, quotations, orders, and general support
- Prepare and manage quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, and related documentation
- Source products and materials from various suppliers and follow up on special orders, back-orders, and customer requests
- Purchase and manage inventory from multiple vendors, maintain appropriate stock levels, and keep product pricing and supplier information current
- Recommend products and develop rigging or lifting solutions using applicable technical resources and tools
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, service, and purchasing staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently
- Process customer payments and point-of-sale transactions
- Maintain and merchandise showroom and retail areas




- Develop strong product knowledge and build lasting relationships with current and existing customers

Requirements

- Previous customer service, inside sales, industrial sales, or related experience is preferred
- Solid mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning technical products
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
- Comfortable working with computers, email, inventory systems, and point-of-sale software
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research solutions when required
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with rigging, lifting equipment, industrial supplies, construction, mechanical trades, or related industries is considered an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
