Company Description PrimeCare ABA Services Inc. is a practice professionally managed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) and Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA), registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). The organization provides center-based and in-home ABA/IBI assessment and therapy services for children and young adults diagnosed with autism and developmental delays. PrimeCare ABA focuses on nurturing the unique potential of each individual on the autism spectrum through personalized therapy goals and structured support.
The team is dedicated to helping clients develop social, language, communication, speech, and functional skills to enhance independence and quality of life. PrimeCare ABA values collaboration, evidence-based practice, and a supportive environment for both clients and team members.
Role Description The Instructor Therapist role is a part-time, in office position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.
The Instructor
Therapist will implement individualized ABA/IBI programs under the supervision of a BCBA® or RBA, providing direct one-on-one and small group therapy to children and young adults with autism and developmental delays. Daily responsibilities include following treatment plans, collecting and recording behavior and skill acquisition data, preparing and organizing therapy materials, and assisting with progress reports. The role involves supporting clients in developing communication, social, play, and daily living skills across center-based and in-home settings,
while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
The Instructor
Therapist will collaborate with clinical supervisors and families, participate in team meetings and training, and adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and experience delivering behavior-based interventions for individuals with autism or developmental delays.
- Strong skills in implementing structured teaching, managing behavior, and supporting development of communication, social, and functional life skills.
- Ability to accurately collect, record, and report therapy data, follow treatment plans, and respond to feedback from supervising clinicians.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.
- Comfort with on-site work in both center and home environments, including physical stamina to engage in play-based and active therapy sessions.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Psychology, Education, Behavioural Science, Child and Youth Work, or a related field; ABA/IBI training or certification is an asset.
- Prior experience as an Instructor Therapist, ABA therapist, or similar role is preferred, especially within autism services in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, ongoing learning, and adherence to guidance from BCBA®/RBA and organizational policies.
