Major Responsibilities
- Experience in Concrete, Steel and Wood design
- Site inspection and evaluation of existing buildings
- Preparation of study reports, Reserve Fund Study etc.
- Preparation of drawings and specifications for rehabilitation projects
- Perform structural analysis and design for existing and new commercial and industrial buildings
- Complete structural calculations for residential, commercial and industrial buildings or structures
- Prepare proposals and project related documents
- Coordinate and guide technical staff in preparation of design drawings and documents
- Coordinate structural designs and documents with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing etc.)
- Provide structural engineering support during construction, attend project design and site meetings
- Interact with all project stakeholders.
Skilled Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA as EIT or P.Eng.
- Min. 8 years of related experience in structural design in North America is required
- Proficient in general structural engineering design software such as STAAD Pro.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great team player
- A valid driver's license
