Role Description The Inventory Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Saint-Hubert-de-Rivière-du-Loup, QC. This role is responsible for tracking and managing physical inventory, including raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products, to support production and shipping activities. Day-to-day tasks include performing cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, updating inventory records in internal systems, and supporting audits and quality-control checks.
The Inventory
Specialist collaborates with production, logistics,
and customer service teams to ensure accurate stock levels, timely material availability, and adherence to internal procedures. The role also involves preparing basic inventory reports, labeling and organizing stock locations, and following safety and environmental guidelines in all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Physical Inventory, Inventory Control, and Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock levels and support production needs.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with internal teams and respond to inventory-related inquiries.
- Experience working in manufacturing, metals, or industrial environments is an asset.
- Comfort using inventory management software, spreadsheets, and basic ERP or database tools.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve standing, lifting, and moving materials, following safety guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage.
