Burnt Toast Cafe is looking for 2 reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helpers to join our team in Whitehorse.

This position is primarily focused on supporting our busy breakfast and lunch service. Early morning availability is required.

Responsibilities

- Prepare breakfast items such as eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, sandwiches, and other simple food items
- Assist with general food preparation and portioning
- Package food for take-out orders
- Stock and restock ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist cooks and other kitchen staff as required

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in breakfast cooking, food preparation, or a similar kitchen position




- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen workplace
- Must be available for early morning shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset; employer can support obtaining certification if required
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
