You will be critical in processing and reporting laboratory samples with minimal supervision. This regular full time position reports to the Laboratory Manager and requires ample knowledge of medical laboratory practices. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures while maintaining a quality control program to ensure accuracy.
Your role involves keeping precise records, troubleshooting laboratory equipment and enhancing patient confidentiality. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing for physicians and healthcare providers
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment
- Conduct routine analysis and phlebotomy procedures
- Ensure accurate records and reports of testing
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Membership in good standing with CSMLS
- Recent experience in an accredited Medical Laboratory
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid class 5 driver’s license required
