You will be critical in processing and reporting laboratory samples with minimal supervision. This regular full-time position reports to the Laboratory Manager and requires ample knowledge of medical laboratory practices. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures while maintaining a quality control program to ensure accuracy.
Your role involves keeping precise records, troubleshooting laboratory equipment and enhancing patient confidentiality. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing for physicians and healthcare providers
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment
- Conduct routine analysis and phlebotomy procedures
- Ensure accurate records and reports of testing
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Membership in positive standing with CSMLS
- Recent experience in an accredited Medical Laboratory
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid class 5 driver’s license required Contribute expertise in medical laboratory technology to support patient diagnosis and treatment at Whitehorse General Hospital.
