Job Duties and Skills

 Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight metals and other materials

 Fit and install custom cabinets and trim items, such as doors, windows, shelves, moulding and hardware

 Ability to read plans and follow instruction for individual builds

 Positive oral communication for taking instructions and communicating with co-workers

 The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods.

 Good manual dexterity, balance for installations

 To solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately.

 The ability to operate required tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

 Get along well with others and client service interaction skills.

 Able to do millwork and finish carpentry





 Must have transportation to workshop or to worksite.

 Must have own basic tools, work belt, work boots and safety glasses.

 Must be dependable and able to work with a team.

Education: Carpenters with technical training or at least 3 years of experience is an asset

Certification: First Aid, WHMIS and Fall Arrest would be an asset
