About Super GeoAI Technology
Super GeoAI Technology (SGA) is a rapidly growing Canadian AI company transforming agriculture through artificial intelligence, geospatial intelligence, drones, LiDAR, digital twins, and mobile and cloud technologies.
In 2025, our AI-powered products and services helped customers generate or save tens of millions of dollars. Over the next five years, we aim to unlock billions of dollars in annual value for the agricultural sector while building a globally competitive Canadian technology company.
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer – Mobile & Cloud Platforms to shape the strategy, user experience, and design of our next generation of AI-powered software.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role combining product design, customer discovery, and product strategy. You will help determine what we build, why it matters, and how customers experience it.
You will meet directly with business customers to understand their workflows and challenges, translate those insights into product requirements and intuitive designs, and present recommendations to executive leadership. Working closely with software engineering and AI teams, you will guide solutions from early concepts through launch and continuous improvement.
The role offers substantial influence over SGA’s product direction, design standards, and customer experience. As the company grows, it may evolve into broader product and design leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Discovery and Product Strategy
- Lead customer interviews, workflow analysis, user research, competitive analysis, and concept validation to identify meaningful product opportunities.
- Translate customer needs and business objectives into clear problem statements, product requirements, and design priorities.
- Partner with executive leadership and technical teams to shape product vision, roadmaps, and commercialization plans.
- Help prioritize features by balancing customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and development effort.
- Present product concepts and design recommendations, clearly explaining the evidence, rationale, and trade-offs.
User Experience and Product Design
- Lead end-to-end UX, interaction, and visual design for mobile apps, cloud platforms, and drone-connected and enterprise software.
- Simplify complex AI and geospatial workflows into explicit, efficient experiences that support real-world customer tasks.
- Develop user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces.
- Design responsive and accessible interfaces that improve usability, productivity, and customer confidence.
- Validate designs through usability testing and customer feedback,
and refine them using research findings and product performance data.
Design Systems and Standards
- Build and evolve a shared design system across SGA’s software portfolio.
- Define reusable components, typography, colours, icons, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines.
- Partner with engineers to align design components with implementation and support consistent, efficient development.
Product Planning and Delivery
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to define user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and release priorities.
- Deliver implementation-ready designs and documentation covering key workflows, interface behaviour, and edge cases.
- Participate in sprint and release planning, resolve design questions, and review implementation quality throughout development.
- Support product launches and ongoing improvements, using customer feedback and adoption, usability, and business metrics to assess results.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with customers, executive leaders, AI researchers, software engineers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Build alignment around customer needs, product priorities, and design decisions.
- Establish effective design practices, facilitate reviews, and mentor colleagues as the team grows.
- Champion a culture of customer understanding, thoughtful design, and measurable product outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in product design, UX design, human-computer interaction, graphic design, computer science, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Substantial experience designing and delivering commercial web, mobile, SaaS, or enterprise software, from discovery and concept development through launch and ongoing improvement.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating UX strategy, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and design systems, with clear explanations of your role, decisions, and contributions.
- Proven ability to turn complex customer workflows and business requirements into intuitive, commercially valuable products.
- Experience conducting customer research and usability testing and applying findings to product and design decisions.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma or equivalent platforms.
- Experience preparing product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready design documentation.
- Strong communication,
presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and work effectively with customers, executives, and technical teams.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve research synthesis, design exploration, prototyping, documentation, or collaboration with developers.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a growing technology company.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is an asset:
- AI and machine-learning applications
- GIS, Web GIS, mapping, or geospatial software
- Drone, robotics, or autonomous systems
- Digital twins and 3D visualization
- Dashboards, analytics, and data-intensive applications
- Agriculture or AgTech
- Leading or mentoring designers and influencing cross-functional teams
