We are currently seeking applications for the position of Full-time, Permanent Lightning Protection Installer, for the installation of Lightning Protection Systems. (THIS IS NOT AN ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP POSITION)
The work includes:
- Installing cable, rods, connectors, anchors, and fasteners as part of a lightning protection system on both commercial buildings and residences.
- Installing cable from the roof system to the grounding system
- Installing ground rods/plates/cable below grade
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Out of town work - crews will stay over night. A meal allowance and accommodation are provided.
Skills/experience we need you to have includes:
- Valid driver’s license,
clean driver's abstract and your own way of getting to/from the office
- Experience and ability in working with hand/power tools
- Work experience of 2 years preferred in one of the following capacities: electrical, roofing, landscaping, or general construction.
- First Aid and CPR training
- High school diploma
- Good communication skills
- Elevated Work Platform certificate
- Fall Protection certificate
- WHMIS
- CSTS
On the job training includes
- Lightning Protection Systems training to code standards (CSA, NFPA)
Salary:
- Base pay is dependent of skill level and work experience.
