Are you a safe, confident driver with a full Class 5 Drivers Licence who genuinely enjoys meeting people? The Lower Lonsdale BIA is looking for friendly, reliable drivers to operate the Lonsdale StreetCart this fall. You’ll provide free neighbourhood rides, welcome locals and visitors, and help people discover what the area has to offer.

SCHEDULE

StreetCart service operates from Wednesday through Saturday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Applicants must be available for shifts during these hours and able to work weekend shifts. Exact hours depend on staffing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

StreetCart Drivers perform most of their duties outdoors and may work in all kinds of weather conditions. The new NZEV StreetCart is fully enclosed, weather-ready and equipped with full doors to help keep drivers and passengers comfortable and dry.

- Safely operate the StreetCart on short trips throughout Lower Lonsdale
- Create a friendly,



comfortable experience for every passenger
- Share helpful information about local businesses, attractions, events, and transportation
- Communicate safety expectations in a clear, confident and skilled way
- Keep the StreetCart ready for service and record basic ridership information

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Experienced safety-minded driver with sound judgement
- Full Class 5 BC Drivers Licence and a satisfactory driving record
- Warm, outgoing personality and strong public communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and available for weekend shifts
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lb
- Knowledge of Lower Lonsdale and North Vancouver is an asset

*A recent drivers abstract will be requested for shortlisted candidates

*Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

24.50/hour
