The Role The Field Operations Manager at Beanfield will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our field teams to ensure efficient deployment, maintenance, and support of our fibre-optic network. This role is critical in maintaining high-quality service delivery, coordinating field activities, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The Field Operations Manager will work closely with Construction, Service Delivery, Technical Support, and other cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement in the field.
This role is based out of our Montreal office.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, manage, and mentor field operations teams, including technicians, installers, and supervisors.
- Plan, schedule,
and coordinate field projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Monitor daily field activities, track progress, and report on project status and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage resource allocation, including equipment, materials, and personnel, to optimize field productivity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures to improve field operations efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, training, and professional development to field staff.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for field operations.
- Maintain robust communication with customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring high levels of service satisfaction.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field operations management, preferably in telecommunications or related industries.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of fibre-optic network construction, installation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with field safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field operations software/tools.
- Must be bilingual in French and English

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. The salary range indicated includes a Short Term Incentive Plan (“STIP”) which represents a percentage of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The STIP payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. The STIP payment is conditional upon meeting all of the STIP’s eligibility requirements.
