GovAI is the work platform for local government. Staff at cities, counties, and special districts sit in it every day to finish real work: council agendas and packets, records and FOIA requests, staff reports, HR policy questions, permits. AI does the heavy lifting, with guardrails and an audit trail built in, so a clerk gets value without having to be an AI expert. Local governments are being asked to do more with fewer people.
And we stay involved after launch: working department by department, training people on their real work, and refining the rollout until GovAI becomes part of how the organization gets things done.
The Product Marketing
Specialist role sits where the product turns into something governments understand, sellers can sell, and departments can adopt.
Then you take it to market: launches, campaigns, and the follow-up that tells us whether any of it worked. Sit with product and engineering, use what we ship, and understand what a new feature changes for a clerk, an IT director, or a finance manager. Positioning, package descriptions, web copy, talk tracks, one-pagers.
Plain language a deputy city manager could read aloud in a staff meeting. Own launches end to end, from the first product conversation to the day it is in market. Build what sellers need, then go find out if it helped.
Sit in on calls,
listen to recordings, ask our sales team what they dropped and why. Bring back what you hear from customers and calls, changing the story when the evidence says to. Decide which marketing jobs a person should do, which jobs an agent should do, and how those roles fit together on this team.
Show us the mindset and we will help you develop the craft. Transparent writing. You would rather ship a good version this week than a perfect one next quarter. Wrong package name, stale price, vague claim: you catch it and help correct it.
Curiosity about local government. You might be early in your career, or you might have spent years in another field and want to do something different. We hire from marketing, finance, social sciences, engineering, journalism, and local government itself.
If you are switching careers, or pivoting from another marketing role/context, tell us what you are bringing with you. Nobody here has done this before, because the product and the market are both new. We value flexibility, career development, and collaborating in a mission-driven environment.
The base salary for this role starts at $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. #
