Job Summary

Kiswah Meat And Groceries is seeking a skilled and reliable Meat Cutter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, preparing, and packaging a variety of meat products while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Cut, trim, debone, and prepare beef, goat, lamb, poultry, and fish for retail sale.

Prepare standard and custom meat cuts according to customer requirements.

Demonstrate sound knowledge of different cuts of beef, goat, lamb, poultry, and fish.

Prepare large and custom meat orders for retail customers and business clients.

Use knives, meat saws, grinders, slicers, and other meat processing equipment safely and efficiently.

Weigh, package, label, and price meat products for display and sale.

Inspect meat products to ensure quality and freshness.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, equipment, and display counters.

Follow all food safety, sanitation,



and workplace health and safety procedures.

Provide courteous customer service and assist customers with meat selections and special cutting requests.

Monitor inventory and report stock shortages as required.

Qualifications

Higher Secondary (High School Diploma) or equivalent.

Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Meat Cutter or in a related occupation.

Sound knowledge of different cuts of beef, goat, lamb, poultry, and fish.

Ability to safely operate meat cutting equipment and hand tools.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Robust attention to detail and customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Employment Conditions

Permanent, full-time position.

40 hours per week.

Shift work may include weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays based on business needs.

Overtime may be required during busy periods and will be paid in accordance with Manitoba employment standards.
